KEREMET International Art Business Conference took place in Almaty
On 9th of September 2016 KEREMET International Art Business Conference took place for the first time in Kazakhstan. The author of the idea of the event, organizer and the only sponsor was KEREMET Holding law firm, the part of which is our project – Keremet Art. Conference invited more than 20 international speakers including curators of corporate collections of the banks, heads of departments of largest auction houses, art investment consultants, representatives of foreign galleries, lawyers on art business issues, directors of museums, heads of the largest insurance and transportation companies and many others. There were more than 150 delegates from 11 countries at the conference which ensured the hot discussions of participants on such issues as financing of museums, pricing policy related to art objects, insurance and transportation of paintings, necessary tax preferences for art patrons, how to develop the gallery movement in Kazakhstan and abroad, the role of mass media in forming the art market.
The results of discussions showed that the art business issues are very actual in Kazakhstan and abroad, they want to be reviewed and discussed by artists, and art collectors, galleries, financial institutions looking to art as an investment. KEREMET Holding plans to organize KEREMET International Art Business Conference and other events raising the issues of art market development on the regular basis.
